The Heart of Racing’s Hannah Greenemeier won the overall pole Saturday morning (Sept. 19) for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 with a lap at 98.269 mph. It is Greenemeier’s second pole of the 2026 season and the fourth for The Heart of Racing in the last five races.
Greenmeier’s lap was .240 seconds faster than McCumbee-McAleer Racing’s Finn Wiebelhaus. KohR Motorsports’ Evan Slater will start third in his Ford Mustang GT4, followed by a third Ford for TeamTGM’s Paul Holton. YRB Racing’s Allen Patten will start fifth in his Aston Martin.
Early on, Koch-Copeland Motorsports’ Ford Koch was fastest in his Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. This lap was usurped by Slater and eventually, Greenemeier.
The times during the session were very close. With seven minutes to go, there were four drivers within a tenth of a second of Greenemeier.
Greenemeier then proceeded to better her time and separate herself from the rest of the pack. She left six minutes for the rest of the pack to try to catch her, but no one could make a dent in that time.
Despite the 8:20 a.m. ET start for Grand Sport qualifying, it was already 72° and rather humid once the session began,. As a result, the tires only had so many good laps in them. Almost no one finished the session on the track.
In TCR, Montreal Motorsports Group’s Louis-Phillippe Montour was fastest early on, but Rocco Pasquarella in a similar Honda overtook him with seven minutes to go. Pasquarella then bettered his lap by going purple (fastest of all) in all three sectors. Montour was able to go very close to that pace, but not quite there.
Ultimately, Pasquarella’s lap at 96.541 mph held up for the TCR pole position. It is his third pole of the year.
Pasquarella ended up just .009 seconds faster than Montour. Stallion Motorsports’ Celso Neto was third fastest in his Cupra, while Bryan Herta Autosport’s Mason Filippi was fourth. Victor Gonzalez Racing’s Steven Clemons was fifth.
One driver, Baker Racing’s Sam Baker, failed to set a time during the session. He will have to start at the rear of the field.
