Pinnacle Racing Group is fast at Iowa Speedway. After Carson Brown posted the fastest time in the practice session on Friday, Aug. 7, Tristan McKee claimed the pole for the ARCA Menards Series race at the 0.875-mile short track.
McKee will lead the field to green for the first time in his ARCA national career. The race is also a combination one with the ARCA Menards Series East, and McKee captured his second career East pole.
Brown will start second, one East race after claiming the pole at Flat Rock Speedway.
Reigning East champion Isaac Kitzmiller will line up third, followed by Nitro Motorsports teammates Thomas Annunziata and Jake Bollman in fourth and fifth. Bollman leads Annunziata by three points in the main-series standings.
Max Reaves, the Flat Rock victor, will start sixth. Reaves leads McKee by seven points in the East standings with Isaac Kitzmiller trailing by 14.
Nitro drivers Jade Avedisian, Ty Fredrickson, and Gavan Boschele will start seventh through ninth, respectively, with Jason Kitzmiller rounding out the starting top 10.
With 33 entrants, all will compete in the 150-lap race on Friday. Chase Buscaglia and Kadence Davenport did not post a lap during qualifying, so they will start 32nd and 33rd.
