NASCAR is back this week for some short track racing. The NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series head to Iowa Speedway this weekend. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is off once again.

NASCAR Cup Iowa Entry List
Cup drivers take on the Iowa Corn 350 on Sunday, Aug. 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET and airs on USA Network.
All 36 chartered teams are entered, so there are no cars not making the race. Practice will kick off Saturday at 2:05 p.m. ET and airs on truTV, with qualifying shortly after.
NASCAR O’Reilly Iowa Entry List
O’Reilly teams also run on the .875-mile track this weekend in the HyVee Perks 250, running Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on the CW and streaming on the ESPN App with ESPN Unlimited.
Since 37 cars are entered, all will qualify, barring any late additions to the entry list. Practice at Iowa starts Saturday at 11:30 a.m. ET on the ESPN App, while qualifying is about an hour later on the CW and the ESPN App.
Ross Chastain will pull double duty, running the No. 9 for JR Motorsports. Rajah Caruth moves back to the team’s No. 88.
There’s a pair of drivers making their NOAPS debut this weekend: Carson Brown in the No. 32 for Jordan Anderson Racing and Derek Lemke in DGM Racing’s No. 91.
Nathan Byrd drives the No. 42 for Young’s Motorsports.
Carson Ware‘s in the No. 47 of Mike Harmon Racing.
Joey Gase Racing’s Nos. 53 and 55 will be driven by Tyler Tomassi and Joey Gase, respectively.
Nick Sanchez is in the No. 87 for Peterson Racing Group.
Mason Maggio will pilot the No. 92 for DGM Racing.

The NASCAR Cup season has been hard to watch this year as the Toyotas have been dominant with more balanced vehicles. With Denny Hamlin being the link between JGR and 23XI he’s been driving the superior car all season with more talented young Toyota drivers such as Tyler Reddick and Corey Heim stealing wins from him from time to time. These young guys should win but all the talent in the Chevys has had little hope. SVG has been the exception in road courses, but he is in a league of his own at street racing and would win with a Ford Pinto. Larson, Byron and Zelich not winning is bogus! I’ve seen the NASCAR rankings and regardless of that nonsense, Kyle Larson is the most talented all around race car driver the sport has experienced this decade! The manufacturer advantage for Toyota has killed the confidence of the number 5 team, which has the one driver that can garner international respect, even if it’s a love and hate respect.
He is right about toyota dominant also in arca joe gibbs racing number 18, maybe dodge next year in cup series can change some races and hopefully kyle larson has a good year next year, seems like nitro motorsports drivers in arca are almost all going to race in truck series except isabella robusto no truck series starts announced for her multiple top 5s and tens in arca 3rd in points last year and trd driver multiple years, weird no truck starts for her, hope not stuck in arca next year to talented to star in arca another full-time season.
Apparently no body watches the O’Reilly series which are generally better than the Cup races. Earnhardt and HMS cars have won approximately 15 of the 22 races. The way they switch drivers around its hard to tell Earnhardt from HMS.
