Chandler Smith and Front Row Motorsports will be parting ways upon the conclusion of the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, the team announced July 28.
Smith, who has earned four wins with the team over the last two seasons, will continue to drive the No. 38 truck in pursuit of the Truck championship this season.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to Chandler for being a great representative of our Craftsman Truck Series program,” a team spokesperson said in a release. “… We wish him the best on his continued career path.
“The team will remain committed to competing at the highest level in the series and contending for championships, for the remainder of 2026 and beyond.”
Smith has not yet commented on the situation.
The announcement comes just two weeks after Smith earned a dominating win at North Wilkesboro Speedway, marking the second victory of his 2026 campaign, following Daytona International Speedway. Smith’s two victories are the third most of any driver this season. With eight top fives and 10 top 10s, he currently sits third in the Truck points, behind only teammate Layne Riggs and Kaden Honeycutt.
Front Row did not indicate any currently solidified plans for the No. 38 truck for 2027 or beyond.
