July 12’s Sunday night NASCAR Cup Series race at EchoPark Speedway started at 7 p.m. ET, and a three-hour rain delay resulted in the race ending just before 2 a.m. the next day.
Despite Atlanta providing one of the best races all season, many were unable to watch it due to the late finish.

If there’s a reason for a night race. Bristol and Richmond looked great under the lights. The color schemes and reflective decals made the night beautiful. Daytona was unique too. Atlanta under the lights? Meh… Also, they should only be on Saturday nights. People hate the Super Bowl being on Sunday nights. Why do that?
My family hates the Sunday night races. I hope that NASCAR listens to the fans.
