NASCAR Mailbox: How Many Road Courses Should Be on the Schedule?

With Sonoma Raceway in the rearview mirror, the NASCAR Cup Series is now finished with road courses for the 2026 season.

This season, there were only four road courses on the NASCAR schedule, down from six in 2025. That also means there are no road courses in The Chase this season.

This year’s pattern marked a backtrack from NASCAR‘s previous efforts to get more road courses on the schedule.
