Josh Berry will not drive Wood Brothers Racing’s No. 21 in the NASCAR Cup Series beyond the 2026 season, the driver told reporters on a Ford Racing conference call June 10.
Berry is parting ways with the team at the end of 2026, his second year with the organization.
He currently sits 30th in points with two top 10s to his name on the season.
In 2025, Berry scored his first Cup win with the team at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Berry said he does not currently know his racing plans for the future.
“We thank Josh Berry for all he’s done for Wood Brothers Racing and our partners over the last two seasons,” a WBR spokesperson said in a release. “Josh has been a great teammate and we look forward to a strong finish to this season. We wish Josh all the best moving forward.
“We will announce who will be driving the No. 21 For Mustang Dark Horse in 2027 soon and we are excited for what lies ahead for Wood Brothers Racing.”

Riley Herbst to the 21?
Not sure where Berry would fit, but probably the OReilly series.
