Austin Varco will attempt to make his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Naval Base Coronado in the San Diego street course Team Reaume announced June 8.
Varco will pilot the No. 22.
“It’s a dream come true to make my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the city I love, in front of my family and friends, representing iconic San Diego brands,” Varco said in a team release. “It feels like I’ve been preparing my whole life for this moment, and I’m ready for the challenge.”
He’s made two ARCA Menards Series West starts for Team Reaume, with a best finish of 13th at Portland International Raceway last year.
The race at San Diego runs on June 19 at 7 p.m. ET and airs on FOX Sports 1.
