Corey Heim to Drive For 23XI Racing Full-Time in 2027 Cup Series Season

23XI Racing announced on Saturday afternoon (May 30) that 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Corey Heim will drive full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for the team starting in 2027.

The 23-year-old has driven part-time with 23XI since 2024, driving the No. 50 and No. 67 Toyotas. Heim will drive the No. 35 car next season, which is currently being piloted by Riley Herbst.

“Since I was five years old, all I ever wanted was to be a Cup driver,” Heim said in a released 23XI Racing statement. “When the opportunity came up to be a development driver with 23XI Racing, I trusted my gut and knew this was the place I wanted to build a long-term career.”

“We’re excited to welcome Corey to our full-time roster next season and look forward to watching him race every weekend in 2027,” 23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin said in a team statement. “Corey is a gifted driver who is continuing to get better and better with each race he runs.”

Heim will run the No. 67 23XI Racing Toyota Camry for this Sunday’s (May 31) Cup race at Nashville Superspeedway. It will be the fifth of his 12 scheduled Cup starts this season before moving up to the full-time roster in 2027.
