Leland Honeyman will join Halmar Friesen Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, HFR announced May 12.
He’ll pilot the No. 62 with sponsorship from From the Ashes.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with a team that has such a strong reputation in the sport,” Honeyman said in a release. “I’m grateful for the chance to get behind the wheel of the No. 62 and compete with a group that knows how to run up front.”
“The people involved honestly made it feel like the right fit,” Honeyman said. “I’ve been going to some of the races this year and sitting on top of the box to get a feel for the team, the chemistry, and how everyone works together so I can be as dialed in as possible heading into Charlotte. Everyone’s motivated, competitive, and focused on getting results.”
It’ll be Honeyman’s first start in Trucks since 2022 with Young’s Motorsports.
