The hot streak for Carson Hocevar continues as he will sit on the pole for Sunday’s (May 3) NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.
This is Hocevar’s second career Cup pole and his second straight pole at Texas. Hocevar won the Cup Series race last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway for his first career win, which positioned him as the last car to qualify. Hocevar also won last night’s Truck Series race in the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports.
Spire’s hot streak as a team also continues as they locked up the front row with Daniel Suarez claiming the outside pole.
Chris Buescher, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Briscoe complete the top five. Kyle Busch, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman, and Ty Gibbs round out the top-10 starting spots.
Austin Dillon and Bubba Wallace did not post qualifying laps due to Dillon’s No. 3 team changing an engine and Wallace’s crash in practice.
