NASCAR Mailbox: What Would You Ask NASCAR’s New CEO?

Ahead of NASCAR’s visit to Talladega Superspeedway this past weekend, the sanctioning body announced a significant change to its leadership. Jim France stepped down as CEO, effective immediately, with Steve O’Donnell assuming his role.

As this change unfolds, many fans are curious how O’Donnell’s vision for the future of the sport may differ from France’s. So, we asked you, the fans: if you were able to ask NASCAR’s new boss one question in a one-on-one interview, what would it be?

In this week’s episode of NASCAR Mailbox, Frontstretch.com‘s Ben Lloyd takes a look at what you had to say and gives his thoughts and analysis on what the answers may be.

  1. I’d ask why NASCAR has seemed to be obsessed with trying to operate (and make the product) similar to “stick and ball” sports when it never needed to. Sure, a lot of NASCAR fans probably played football, baseball, or basketball in high school and college, but that doesn’t mean auto racing needs to try and fit itself into a mold that wasn’t designed for it.

  2. ask why nascar has made it too difficult to follow i cannot afford so many stream channels on social security
been a fan since a child in the sixties and am almost done trying to follow
