Nick Leitz will compete in the season-opening NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race for TRICON Garage this week, the team announced Feb. 9.
Leitz is piloting the No. 5 with sponsorship from SEM Products.
The entry marks a fifth truck for TRICON, which will also enter the Nos. 1, 11, 15 and 17.
Toni Breidinger drove the No. 5 full time in 2025; she’s since moved to Rackley WAR’s No. 27 in a part-time role.
Leitz has eight career Truck starts since 2022, with one coming in 2025. His best finish is a pair of 19ths, both occurring in 2023.
TRICON has not announced any other drivers of the No. 5 for 2026.
Kevin Rutherford is the executive editor of Frontstretch, a position he gained in 2025 after being the managing editor since 2015, and serving on the editing staff since 2013.
At his day job, he's a journalist covering music and rock charts at Billboard. He lives in New York City, but his heart is in Ohio -- you know, like that Hawthorne Heights song.
