Viking Motorsports will have a technical partnership with Richard Childress Racing for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, Viking announced Nov. 17.
Viking’s No. 99 was previously revealed to be driven by Parker Retzlaff next year.
“Forming this partnership with RCR represents another important step in our mission to continue improving and growing as a competitive team,” Jeremy Lange, Viking GM, said in a team release. “Our foundation is built on hard work, teamwork, and determination — and with RCR’s engineering expertise and ECR engines supporting our program, we’re gaining the tools and knowledge to take the next step forward. This partnership truly embodies what it means to be forged to race.”
Added Danny Lawrence, RCR vp of alliance operations and RCR’s O’Reilly director: “We’re proud to work with Viking Motorsports and help provide many of the same resources that have contributed to RCR’s long-term success in motorsports. Their commitment to excellence and relentless drive align perfectly with our philosophy. We look forward to seeing Viking Motorsports continue to grow stronger and more competitive each week.”
As part of the technical alliance, Viking will continue to field Chevrolets.
In 2025, the No. 99 earned one top five and top 10 with Matt DiBenedetto behind the wheel. DiBenedetto ran the first 30 races of the season for the team before being replaced by Connor Mosack.
Retzlaff drove Alpha Prime Racing’s No. 4 in 2025, scoring one top five and three top 10s.
