Ross Chastain‘s new crew chief in the NASCAR Cup Series is Brandon McSwain, Trackhouse Racing announced Nov. 3.
McSwain will helm Trackhouse’s No. 1 starting in the 2026 season.
He replaces Phil Surgen, who the team said is moving to a different role within the organization. His exact role was not named in the release.
McSwain has previously been a race engineer for Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 24, driven by William Byron. He also has occasionally served as a crew chief for Hendrick’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series No. 17.
Chastain won one race in 2025, alongside four top fives and 12 top 10s. He concluded the season 10th in points.
