Dawson Sutton is just getting started with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
After an early wreck at Phoenix Raceway on Friday (Oct. 31) kept him from completing a single lap, the 19-year-old Sutton remained upbeat despite his 2025 Truck season coming to a close. That’s because his family-owned operation, sponsored by Rackley Roofing, expects to be back with him as the driver in 2026.
“Yeah, for sure,” Sutton told Frontstretch’s Stephen Stumpf when asked if he’ll return full time next season. “Hopefully, we’ll be back. I feel like these things are so much fun and competitive, and we can just keep getting better and better.”
Sutton earned one top-five and two top-10 finishes in his first full season running Trucks, finishing 17th in the final standings. He earned a career-best fourth-place result at Talladega Superspeedway last month, part of a season-high streak of three straight top 15s.
Rackley W.A.R. has run full time in Trucks for five seasons, winning once with Matt DiBenedetto in 2022. Team owner Curtis Sutton is Dawson’s father and serves as President for the team’s primary sponsor, Rackley Roofing.
Dawson Sutton is expected to compete with Rackley’s late model at the Nashville Fairgrounds All-American 400 next weekend.
