This week on Bringing the Heat with Trey Lyle, ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Regional Series driver Presley Sorah joins to talk racing and reading. Sorah talks about his career growth and how he cares for his partners. Off the track, Sorah recently published a book, “Racing Toward a Dream.” He shares how his work as a paraprofessional and his desire to incorporate motorsports into teaching helped to inspire the book.
After the interview, Caleb Barnes joins Lyle to talk about the hottest topics of the week. The two discuss the antitrust lawsuit 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports have against NASCAR, and recent comments from Steve Phelps that the still-chartered teams would get more money if the two teams in the suit are kept as open teams.
The other topic from the week surrounds the fastest lap bonus point, with the potential that there could be a criteria for drivers to meet to get to keep that point.
The soundbite of the week comes from Tyler Reddick, who shares his frustration about coming up short at Darlington once again. Barnes and Lyle react to the comments and why Reddick feels these close calls are “really starting to drive [him] nuts.”
As the checkered flag drops, Barnes shares final thoughts, which touch on rumors that NASCAR is eyeing a race at Zandvoort. Lyle gives props to Legacy Motor Club after their impressive team effort at Darlington Raceway.
