Jesse Love Earns Xfinity Pole at Iowa

Jesse Love has won the pole for today’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Iowa Speedway and will lead the field to the green flag later on today (Saturday, Aug. 2).

It’s the eighth time in Love’s career that he has recorded a pole, and the third time in the 2025 season. Love’s pole speed was 133.237 miles per hour.

Love will share the front row with William Sawalich, who gets his best start since he recorded a pole at Nashville Superspeedway.

Carson Hocevar and Connor Zilisch will share row two, and roll off third and fourth, respectively. Hocevar is driving the No. 11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet after the team parted ways with Josh Williams.

Sam Mayer will round out the top five starters, starting fifth. The remainder of the top 10 starters include Austin Dillon, Ryan Sieg, Carson Kvapil, Sammy Smith and Daniel Dye in sixth through 10th, respectively. Dillon is driving the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet as a one-race replacement for the suspended Austin Hill. Sieg also notably laid down the fastest lap in the practice session earlier on Saturday.

There were zero DNQs as it is a full 38-car field. The three drivers who didn’t make a qualifying attempt were Dawson Cram, Tyler Tomassi and Taylor Gray. They will start 36th through 38th, respectively.
