Happy Hour: Daniel Suarez Gone While TNT Returns

On this week’s episode of Frontstretch Happy Hour, hosts Bryan Nolen, Michael Massie and Dalton Hopkins are joined by frequent guest Savage Ventures‘ John Newby to talk TNT’s first NASCAR Cup Series broadcast since 2014.

Newby recently spoke with Craig Barry, executive vice president and chief content officer for Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, who told him he wasn’t big on side-by-side commercials as opposed to full-screen commercials during race broadcasts. The four guys weigh in on this issue as well as TNT’s product as a whole.

The quartet also discuss what the future for Daniel Suarez could be after he and Trackhouse Racing announced a parting of ways on Tuesday (July 1). They also debate whether EchoPark Speedway is now the best track in NASCAR.

With many In-Season Challenge brackets busted in just the first round this past Saturday (June 28), the gang debate if starting the tournament at Atlanta was the right call as well as what could spice it up in future years.
