This week on Bringing the Heat with Bryan Nolen, Dalton Hopkins catches up with NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Matt Mills.
They discuss how Mills ended up driving for Niece Motorsports at the start of the 2024 season, the crash that sidelined Mills last fall, and what his goals are for the current season. Mills also shared his desire to follow in the footsteps of drivers like Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar by getting Al Niece back in victory lane.
After the interview, Trey Lyle joins Nolen to go over some of the big storylines at the midpoint in the week. The headlines include the upcoming in-season tournament that starts this weekend, as well as the Truck Series making its debut at Lime Rock Park on FOX, with Mike Joy playing a role in the broadcast.
The soundbite of the week comes from Denny Hamlin, who went in-depth on his thought process while he followed teammate Chase Briscoe over the course of the final green flag run at Pocono.
Nolen and Lyle conclude this week’s episode by reminiscing on past times, while also announcing a different direction in the future of Bringing the Heat. The two are switching spots and Lyle will host, while Nolen is moving to the Frontstretch Happy Hour Podcast on Tuesday nights.
