How to Watch All NASCAR Races on Amazon Prime Video for Free

The NASCAR Cup Series will make some history over its next five races, beginning with the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 25. For the first time in forever (h/t Frozen), these races will not be shown live on linear TV, as they will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video — or as it prefers to call itself, simply Prime Video.

On one hand, this should be a boon for the increasing number of cord-cutters who don’t have cable, many of whom are already Prime Video subscribers. But without hard data to back up this assertion, it’s safe to say the majority of NASCAR fans do have cable and are accustomed to watching races that way.

That makes it understandable that some fans may be upset about the prospect of a paid subscription to Prime Video just to watch NASCAR races. The silver lining is that it’s possible to watch all five races for free, though there’s a catch.

How to Get a Free 30-Day Trial of Prime Video to Watch All 5 NASCAR Races

Happily, Prime Video is offering a free 30-day trial, and now that we are within 30 days of the final race being streamed (that would be the Pocono race on June 22), you can take advantage of it to see all five.

The catch? It’s only good for new Prime Video subscribers, so if you’ve previously paid for the service, this doesn’t apply to you.

(It might for someone in your household, however.)

Here’s what you need to do to sign up:

  1. Head to the NASCAR page of Prime Video.
  2. Tap or click on the blue ‘Join Prime’ button in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. Enter your account and billing information. Note: You will have to enter a credit card, and while you won’t be charged anything at the current time, you will be billed the monthly Prime Video fee (which is $14.99 plus tax) if you don’t return and cancel your subscription before the free trial ends in 30 days.

Prime Video 2025 Streaming Schedule

What will you be watching during the free trial? Here’s a quick reminder of the races Prime is carrying:

  • Coca-Cola 600 (Charlotte), Sunday, May 25
  • Cracker Barrel 400 (Nashville), Sunday, June 1
  • Firekeepers Casino 400 (Michigan), Sunday, June 8
  • NASCAR Cup Series Race at Mexico City, Sunday, June 15
  • The Great American Getaway 400 Presented by VISITPA.COM (Pocono), Sunday, June 22

  1. How stupid. Way too go older nascar fans who only have a tv can’t watch today and next three Hope you go busted

  2. I watch nascar every week very mad I can’t watch for 5 weeks because I don’t have prime bring it back to reg tv

  3. So, let’s say I sign up for the free trial. Then I have to watch the race on a laptop or my phone Because my bigscreen in my bar/rec area is too old to handle any type of streaming. Now I have to go buy a new tv. Not gonna happen.

  4. If I understand correctly Nascar viewing is down, and they sign up for this doesn’t make sense.

We have cable at a not so cheap price that in billing shows fee for sports, so we are already paying premium for sports.

  5. Actually, you can get Prime video (only) for $9 a month. Get it today and you get all the races for $9 and then cancel.

  6. “The difference between Amazon’s model and some of the other streamers is that most of our fan base already subscribes to Amazon Prime…”  (An absolute LIE)

“In short, NASCAR is banking on Amazon’s massive reach to introduce stock car racing to a broader, more digitally engaged audience – the younger generation.” (Yeah, the ‘younger generation’ is your major market. HELLO? We are not Trump’s idiots you are addressing!! They are being honest about one thing though — NASCAR is definitely ‘banking’ )

Note to NASCAR — kneeling for the $$€€ from SCAMAZON and its Bald Boneheaded owner is NOT going to end well.
Short term financial gain will not warm the hearts of current nor potential fans.

  7. What’s next NASCAR — tariffs on tickets?
Disgustingly poor business ethics are gradually catching-up.
BTW: What a waste of Dale, Jr to be relegated SCAMAZON TV.

  8. Nascar you are really upsetting your fanbase! All the bickering and complaints after each race is tiring. Now going to Prime and cutting out loyal second generation viewers. I for one have had enough! Good bye NASCAR.

  9. no more nascar in this household. This will be the nail in the coffin for nascar.
Why is this happening?? pure and simple.GREED<GREED<GREED.
GOOD BYE NASCAR,you were once great but now a joke.Makes me sick!!!!

  10. NACCAR
National Association for Clone Car Auto Racing. If I can’t record these boring races and watch them in 20 minutes on fast forward 3 I’m out. Fan since Harry Gant 1974.

  11. NASCAR has turned Sadists.
I mean, how many more ways can NASCAR shoot itself in the feet, ass, and head?

  12. I am very disappointed. I will miss the next 5 races. After that, who knows if I will ever watch again. Bad.
