Austin Hill will attempt five NASCAR Cup Series races for Richard Childress Racing in 2025, RCR announced March 24.
Hill will drive the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet starting at Darlington Raceway on April 6.
Andy Street will be his crew chief.
“I’m excited to compete in the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet again this year,” Hill said in a team release. “United Rentals has been a longtime supporter of my career and to continue that relationship once again at the top level of our sport is special. I’ve enjoyed my starts in the Cup Series so far and the goal is to keep learning every time I climb into the car. We have been strategic with adding new tracks to the lineup each season, which allows me to gain valuable experience.
“Racing for Richard [Childress, owner] at any level is an honor, but especially in the Cup Series. The focus remains on winning the [NASCAR] Xfinity Series championship in November, but any laps in the Cup car are important for the future.”
The other races on the schedule for Hill are the Chicago street course (July 6), Daytona International Speedway (Aug. 23), Bristol Motor Speedway (Sept. 13) and Talladega Superspeedway (Oct. 19).
Hill, now in his fourth full-time season with RCR in the Xfinity Series, has made 10 Cup starts over the last three seasons between RCR and Beard Motorsports. Four of those appearances came with RCR last year.
He has one win, four top fives and four top 10s through six Xfinity races this season.
