Christopher Bell has been on a tear as of late, winning three of the first four races on the NASCAR Cup Series calendar. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is also a track at which Bell has performed well, which could bode well for his fans as NASCAR travels to Nevada this weekend.
For fans, the weekend in Las Vegas is action-packed. All three of the NASCAR national series will be in action this weekend. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will kick off the action on Friday night, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series will keep the party going on Saturday before the Cup Series caps off the weekend with 400 miles of hard-fought racing on Sunday.
Grand Marshals
Iconic magicians Penn & Teller will serve as the grand marshals for Saturday’s Xfinity race. The magic duo has wowed audiences since the late 1970s and has become a staple of Las Vegas entertainment. They will be at the track to promote their show Penn & Teller: Fool Us, which is broadcast on The CW.
Academy Award-winning actor and producer Morgan Freeman will give the command to start engines for the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday. Freeman has a resume that speaks for itself, starring in movies such as The Shawshank Redemption, The Bucket List, Lean On Me and Se7en.
Honorary Pace Car Driver
WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green, will lead the field to the green flag on Sunday. Green is the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Green has wrestled for several promotions, such as Ring of Honor, NWA, and TNA, where she was a former Knockout’s Champion. She will be in attendance to promote Wrestlemania, which will be held in Las Vegas in April.
