Scott McLaughlin Signs Long-Term Extension with Team Penske

Scott McLaughlin has signed a long-term extension with Team Penske to kick off the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series season, he announced via X Feb. 28.

The exact length of the extension was not announced, but it puts McLaughlin at Penske through at least 2026.

McLaughlin will continue driving the No. 3 Chevrolet for Penske alongside teammates Josef Newgarden and Will Power.

McLaughlin raced in Penske’s No. 3 Chevrolet full time the past four seasons. He has won seven races in that span, three coming last season. He finished back-to-back seasons third in points.

“I think that was very easy to come by for me for me over the offseason to sign the long-term deal and just be here for the foreseeable future,” McLaughlin told reporters Feb. 28. “I just know that I don’t have to worry about that for a long, long time.”
