Kaulig Announces Ty Dillon, AJ Allmendinger Crew Chiefs

Ty Dillon and AJ Allmendinger have received their crew chiefs for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, Kaulig Racing announced Dec. 5.

Dillon’s No. 10 will be led by Andrew Dickeson, while Allmendinger’s No. 16 sees him reunited with Trent Owens.

Dickeson moves to Kaulig from Richard Childress Racing, where he has previously been an engineer.

Owens was Daniel Hemric‘s crew chief for Kaulig in 2024. That team, the No. 31, has become Dillon’s No. 10.

“I think this is the most impressive competition leadership group we have ever had,” Kaulig Racing President Chris Rice said in a team release. “We have such a great core team with all the men and women of Kaulig Racing, and bringing in smart people with fresh eyes will really help us compete on the track.”

Additionally, Mike Cook was announced as Kaulig’s new technical director. Cook comes to the team from Stewart-Haas Racing, where he was lead engineer.

Allmendinger earned five top 10s in a 16-race Cup schedule with Kaulig in 2024. In the team’s NASCAR Xfinity Series No. 16, he had one win, seven top fives and 18 top 10s, finishing third in points.

Allmendinger and Owens worked together toward the end of the 2018 Cup season at JTG-Daugherty Racing.

Dillon ran seven Cup races in 2024, with five of those starts coming with Kaulig. He mostly competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Rackley WAR, earning two top 10s in 18 starts.

Ty is like a zombie.. won’t every go away! And NOT in a good way either.. he wouldn’t be driving a late model at Hickory based on driving skill. Shameful at best, but totally expected.
