Riley Herbst is back in the No. 98 for Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024, SHR announced Oct. 12.
2024 will be Herbst’s fourth full-time season with the team and fifth overall in the series; he drove for Joe Gibbs Racing in 2020 before moving to SHR’s No. 98 in 2021.
Monster Energy is back as Herbst’s primary sponsor.
In 2023, Herbst has six top fives and 13 top 10s, sitting 13th in the series standings.
In all since 2018, he boasts 23 top fives and 67 top 10s in 138 starts.
Herbst has also made multiple appearances in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2023, nabbing two top 10s in four entries. He has not revealed any Cup plans for 2024.
He’s the first driver to be announced to SHR’s Xfinity campaign for 2024. Cole Custer also competes for the team in 2023, driving the No. 00.
