Chase Elliott will return to the sport at Circuit of the Americas, albeit in the broadcast booth, Hendrick Motorsports announced March 23.
Elliott, who continues to recover from a broken leg suffered earlier this month, will appear in the FOX Sports booth remotely as a guest commentator during the NASCAR Cup Series race at the road course on March 26.
He joins Kurt Busch and Guenther Steiner, who will also be heard in the booth Sunday.
Jordan Taylor will drive Elliott’s No. 9 in his Cup debut this weekend.
Elliott’s recovery was expected to take six weeks, though an exact date for his return hasn’t been announced.
