Live Fast Motorsports will field Chevrolets in 2023 in the NASCAR Cup Series, the team announced Dec. 1.
As part of the move, the team will receive engine support from ECR.
“Our team is excited to make this transition to Chevrolet,” BJ McLeod, co-owner/driver of LFM, said in a team release. “Chevrolet Camaros have proven great success on the track and Live Fast Motorsports is looking forward to becoming a part of this advance.”
LFM fields the No. 78, generally driven by McLeod with other drivers occasionally filling in.
“We’re looking forward to racing for Chevrolet, the winningest manufacturer in NASCAR,” Matt Tifft, team co-owner, added. “We’ll also be getting engine support from ECR engines, and we know our program will benefit from their technologies and power under the hood.”
The team ran Fords for the first two years of its existence.
In two full-time seasons, LFM has two top 10s, both via McLeod, with a best result of seventh at Daytona International Speedway in 2022.
