Justin Allgaier will remain with JR Motorsports in 2023 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the team announced Oct. 13.
Allgaier’s longtime sponsor Brandt is back as well to support the effort for 20 races.
Allgaier will drive the No. 7 he’s piloted in the series since 2016.
“It’s an honor for us to continue this partnership alongside Rick (Brandt) and everyone at Brandt Professional Agriculture,” JR Motorsports CEO Kelley Earnhardt Miller said in a release. “Brandt and Justin have become synonymous with performance and success, and Rick’s enthusiasm for this program is unmatched. Year after year the No. 7 team remains one of the strongest competitors in the garage.”
“It’s great to return to JRM next season and to continue our partnership with Brandt Professional Agriculture,” Allgaier added. “Our relationship has continued to grow and expand and I am extremely proud of everything that we have accomplished together. They have become a family to me. The same way that JRM has over the last seven years. I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue to drive this No. 7 Chevrolet for Dale (Earnhardt Jr., owner) and Kelley and compete for race wins and championships year after year.
“The goals have remained the same for us, and we feel confident that they will come to fruition.”
In 2022, Allgaier has three wins, 13 top fives and 19 top 10s and is currently in contention for the 2022 Xfinity title.
He joins Sam Mayer and Brandon Jones on JRM’s squad for 2023. The No. 8, driven this year by Josh Berry, has not yet announced its 2023 plans.
