With a dominant triumph at Sonoma, Daniel Suarez scored his first-ever win in the NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday (June 12) afternoon in wine country. With the No. 99’s triumph, Trackhouse Racing Team won its third race of 2022 and Suarez became the 12th different winner of the season. Chris Buescher and Michael McDowell followed Suarez in second and third, respectively, rounding out an underdog top three.
Host Adam Cheek is joined by Danny Peters, on-site for the action at Sonoma, to break down Suarez’s historic victory, the Next Gen’s debut on the California hills, the recent lack of frequent road-course ringers and more as the season closes in on its halfway point.
