Ryan Newman Gains Sun Outdoors Sponsor for SRX

Ryan Newman has a full-time sponsor and returning sanctioning body partner in Sun Outdoors for all six SRX races in 2022, the organization announced June 7.

“Sun Outdoors is another partner returning to SRX for the 2022 season,” series CEO Don Hawk said in a release. “We appreciate their support and having Ryan Newman behind the wheel puts them in position to race for the championship.”

Newman will make his first career SRX start in 2022 when the series first heads to Five Flags Speedway on June 18.

The driver of the No. 39 for this year’s SRX season has earned 18 career NASCAR Cup Series wins. He is one of four Daytona 500 champions to race this year’s SRX calendar.

  1. It will be nice to see Ryan behind the wheel again but he always seemed too serious and intense of a racer for SRX.
