Josh Williams will attempt to make his NASCAR Cup Series debut for Live Fast Motorsports at the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt track, according to NASCAR’s team roster portal.
An official announcement by LFM or Williams has not yet occurred, but the entry list for the event is expected today, April 11.
Williams is a full-time competitor for BJ McLeod Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, also in the No. 78.. BJ McLeod co-owns LFM and is the No. 78’s primary driver in Cup.
Williams has 131 Xfinity starts to his credit since 2016, with eight top 10s. He’s currently 35th in points for 2022, with a best finish of 21st at Auto Club Speedway.
He’s also started 102 ARCA Menards Series races, winning two races and making multiple starts on dirt in the process.
LFM’s No. 78 currently sits 36th in the owner standings. McLeod has driven the car in seven of its eight starts, with Andy Lally driving at Circuit of the Americas.
