After a wild Sunday (Feb. 6) afternoon where Joey Logano emerged triumphant in NASCAR’s Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Coliseum, Bryan Nolen and Adam Cheek had a lot to break down – the former at the track in L.A. and the latter on the other side of the country in Virginia.
How much of a success was the event, both on the track and off in terms of the racing and the broad appeal to celebrities and fans alike? Was the debut of the Next Gen car as positive as everyone had hoped? What does the Clash seem to indicate is in store for us in 2022? The duo answer these questions with a surprise on-site cameo from Dylan “Mamba” Smith.

“Triumph” over who or what? But the simple answer is NO!
The whole shebang was a made for Fox TV clown act. And who invited Tony Stewart?
Just what ol man France envisioned when he started Nascar. Open with the pit dog, circle some cars around the track, pop corn intermission while ice tray entertained the few spectators, and then finish it up with a little racing while the spectators filed out. Perfect day.
Sorry but it’s a “No” for me, Dawg.
A lot of people drinking the Kool-Aid (Brian’s recipe).
Brian brought them all out of the woodwork didn’t he. If those rappers weren’t there, then attendance would have been zilch. Only in L.A. I might be wrong, but rappers and nascar real fans don’t seem to go together.
Can’t wait for the NHRA to hold their Spring Nationals at the coliseum…shut off area is going to add a new dimension to drag racing
I’ll have to give NA$CAR credit for building the best race track they could with what little they had to start with. This is a great venue for Go-Karts, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, TQ midgets and Full Midgets. Maybe Sprint Cars. But not Cup Cars.
