After making his NASCAR Cup Series debut for Rick Ware Racing in 2021, Joey Hand will return to the team for six races in 2022, RWR announced Jan. 27.
Hand drove the No. 52 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, finishing 27th.
He will compete in the six-race road course schedule for the team, beginning at Circuit of the Americas.
“Throughout the race weekend and the subsequent Next Gen test session, Rick (Ware, owner) and I developed a great relationship,” Hand said in a team release. “With the introduction of the Next Gen car, I feel it levels the playing field and we have a legitimate chance of running up front.”
Hand is the third driver to be announced to RWR’s No. 15 roster, following David Ragan and Ryan Preece.
