Stock Car Scoop: Is Kyle Larson the Cup Title Favorite for 2021?

The NASCAR Cup Series traveled to Sonoma Raceway Sunday (June 6) for the first time in two years. Hometown driver Kyle Larson finally cashed in on his fourth straight pole position at his home track, winning the first road course race of his Cup career. It’s also the first time Larson has posted back-to-back victories at NASCAR’s top level and the first time anyone has done so in 2021.

With Larson sweeping all stages for two straight weeks, scoring the maximum 130 points, has he emerged as the frontrunner for the season title? Frontstretch’s Bryan Nolen and Adam Cheek discuss in the latest edition of Stock Car Scoop. Plus: which of several underdogs had the most heartbreaking result after contending for top-10 finishes late in the race, and what does Kevin Harvick, another victim of a late-race incident, need to do to turn a season’s worth of luck back around?
