Fans will be able attend the NASCAR race weekend at Sonoma Raceway, the track announced April 8.
The track announced neither a number nor percentage of fans able to attend the Toyota/Save Mart 350.
The track announced on its website a number of COVID-19 safety protocols for the events. Some of those protocols include wearing a face mask at all times, unless consuming food or beverage; all guests will have their temperature check prior to entering the track; and all guests must maintain social distancing of six feet. Furthermore, all tickets will be mobile.
The NASCAR Cup Series did not compete at Sonoma Raceway last year due to COVID-19 restrictions set forth by California officials. Martin Truex Jr. won the two most recent Cup Series races at the road course in 2018 and 2019.
Sonoma will host the ARCA Menards Series West and Cup Series on June 5-6. West will compete in the General Tire 200 on June 5, and the Cup drivers will race the following day.
