Motorsports is no exception, its most infamous events watched by millions from the Indianapolis 500 to the Grand Prix of Monaco. Individuals from all backgrounds have taken to watching car racing for decades and it’s becoming more popular as the years have gone on. The grand and luxurious cars, breathtaking speed and nonstop action leave them captivated no matter what series is their favorite.

It’s thrilling to watch and do

When it comes to sports, the more popular ones are generally those that ordinary fans can imagine competing in. It may not seem like it, but there are ways for regular individuals to engage in motorsports, too. Research suggests that it is a very accessible sport to get into and engagement usually begins at a grassroots level, whether at a local dirt track or a go kart facility. There are thousands of registered clubs around the world that offer beginner lessons and competition! From late models to legends cars to even iRacing online, there’s plenty of options that can turn fans into amateur athletes.

Furthermore, the whole idea of motorsports is that it is very thrilling to watch and do as a sport yourself. The high-speed nature of the race keeps fans on the edge of their seats, wanting more and more every time as they can imagine themselves driving their own cars 200 miles an hour down the freeway. We all love feeling the excitement that comes with pursuing competitive sports.

It’s very entertaining

As well as being very inclusive, people love engaging with sports because it is so entertaining and unpredictable. Racing enthusiasts love guessing race outcomes and can bet at a casino online, sports betting site or at a local bookkeeper before the race begins. People from across the world get together to hear the engines roar at some of the best live sporting events, from the Daytona 500 in Florida to the Grand Prix of Australia in the Land Down Under in Melbourne. As everything is so fast-paced, from the actual races to the teamwork that goes into ensuring the race goes smoothly, fans are spellbound watching live competition.

Let’s briefly discuss some popular series motorsports fans all know and love.

Formula One

Even those who aren’t very interested in motorsports have heard of the Formula One racing series. It is a single-seater, premier open-wheel international racing division and is guaranteed to capture the hearts of motorsports fans everywhere.  Streamed on live TV, fans can also purchase tickets to these multi-day events.

This specific world championship is owned by the Formula One Group and has been around since 1950! Lewis Hamilton is the reigning champ and seeking a record-setting eighth title.

Monte Carlo Rally

The roar of the engines at the beginning of the Monte Carlo Rally every year is what lifts spirits and hearts high across the world. Monte Carlo is known for its luxury and prestigious racing events, some of the best you’ll see across the world. The unpredictable nature of the rally on top of the hairpin turns gets individuals ready for an event they’ll never forget. Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia won the latest edition, setting a record with their eighth Monte Carlo victory.

With so many different types of racing, from NASCAR to NHRA, it’s no wonder that people invest in following motorsports across the globe, year after year.
