ThorSport Racing is making two major changes to its four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series trucks in 2021, including one new addition to its stable.

Christian Eckes will join the team in a part-time role in 2021, sharing the No. 98 with its previous full-time driver, Grant Enfinger, ThorSport announced Feb. 4.

Additionally, ThorSport’s fleet will switch to Toyotas.

Eckes will compete in 10 races in 2021, starting at the Daytona International Speedway road course. Enfinger will drive the non-Eckes events.

Johnny Sauter, Matt Crafton and Ben Rhodes will return to the Nos. 13, 88 and 99, respectively.

Eckes moves to ThorSport from Kyle Busch Motorsports, earning seven top fives and 11 top 10s in 2020 in the No. 18, finishing eighth in points.

Enfinger won a career-high four races in 2020, plus eight top fives and 13 top 10s en route to a fourth-place finish in points.

I don’t get someone who won 4 times and getting into the Championship 4 being demoted to part-time. Too bad another team couldn’t have picked him up earlier.
