Tony Kanaan Will Compete in Tony Stewart & Ray Evernham’s SRX

NTT IndyCar Series veteran Tony Kanaan will race in the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) next year, he announced Wednesday (July 22).

Kanaan, who is currently in his final NTT IndyCar Series season, is the second confirmed driver to compete in the summer series.

The 2004 IndyCar champion has 16 victories and 72 podiums throughout his career.

NASCAR Hall of Fame members Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham formed SRX, in which Stewart himself will also compete. It will feature six short track races, and Evernham will design the cars to highlight the drivers’ talents.

SRX is set to air in summer 2021 on CBS and the subscription service CBS All Access.
