Kevin Harvick Snags Cup Kansas Pole

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick looks to earn his fourth win at Kansas Speedway, and he’ll have a good starting position in his venture.

Harvick drew the pole for Thursday’s (July 23) Super Start Batteries 400.

This is the first time this season the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing pilot will start first; he qualified second at Phoenix Raceway earlier this year.

Harvick starts alongside Team Penske’s Joey Logano, while Harvick’s SHR cohort Aric Almirola slots in third. Ryan Blaney’s No. 12 Ford Mustang is fourth, and Martin Truex Jr. rounds out the top five.

Alex Bowman is the highest-starting Chevrolet driver in sixth; he nearly won at Kansas last spring. Brad Keselowski, who won that event, drew the seventh spot.

The Busch brothers Kyle and Kurt begin in eighth and ninth, and Denny Hamlin completes the top 10 starters.

Cup Starting Lineup: Super Start Batteries 400

The Super Start Batteries 400 is set to get underway Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBC Sports Network.

I hope I remember the event is on because it is the only cure I have for my insomnia. Thank you Brian. I hope you get royalties.
