Jeb Burton to Run 2 Truck Series Events for Niece Motorsports

Part-time NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Jeb Burton will compete in two Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series events for Niece Motorsports, the team announced Wednesday (March 4).

Burton will race at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Michigan International Speedway with sponsorship from State Water Heaters and ALSCO.

“I’m excited to race with the folks at Niece Motorsports again this year,” Burton said in a team release. “I can’t thank State Water Heaters and ALSCO enough for their support. I’m looking forward to getting back into one of these trucks and having a solid performance.”

Burton is already familiar with the team, as he earned ninth-place finishes last season at Kentucky Speedway and Martinsville Speedway in the No. 44.

“We are excited to have Jeb back again this season,” team owner Al Niece said. “We have a strong driver lineup again this year and are proud to bring Jeb back to the team. We are looking forward to strong performances from him again this year. We are thankful to have support from State Water Heaters and ALSCO.”

While he has no Truck Series experience at Atlanta, he did make one start each in the Xfinity and Cup series. In 2016, he finished 10th for Richard Petty Motorsports.

Burton also has two Truck Series starts at Michigan, where he earned 10th and eighth-place finishes in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Additionally, he snagged a top-10 result in the Xfinity Series in his only start there.

The Georgia 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway will be held at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 14, with television coverage from FS1.
