2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Logo Revealed

Marcus Lemonis, the chief executive officer of Camping World, and Steve Phelps, the chief operating officer of NASCAR, revealed the logo for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Currently known as the Camping World Truck Series, Gander Outdoors will take the spotlight beginning in 2019, 10 years after the initial Camping World deal began.

“I think the challenge for us is having the NASCAR community understand why the change was made and what it means to them,” said Lemonis. “In every case, nobody likes change. The onus is really on me to communicate to the NASCAR community why this is a good thing for the people who pay money to sit in the stands, support our sport, and sign our checks essentially.”

Since 2009 when it took over for Craftsman as the series sponsor, Camping World has been the face of the Truck Series. One thing that fans can expect is that the racing will be filled with great battles involving NASCAR’s next generation of drivers and some of its veterans.

“The transition we think will be fairly seamless,” said Phelps. “All the digital and social pieces are fairly simple while the physical things like wrapping haulers and things of that nature, we are well on our way. We love how the new identity looks, the new logo. I think the most important thing is that fans will embrace the transition so we see it being fairly seamless.

“We are bringing more resources to the table,” he added. “Now you have a broader network with Gander, Overton’s, and others that we can draw from. I think the fans will be the beneficiary of it.”

The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series will be coming to a track near you next season beginning with the season-opening race at Daytona in February.
