The NASCAR Xfinity Series returns to action this weekend for the first time since the March 17th race at the Auto Club Speedway. 40 teams are entered in this week’s race at the Texas Motor Speedway, meaning everyone entered will race on Saturday afternoon.
Bayley Currey will make his Xfinity Series debut in the No. 8 for B.J. McLeod Motorsports this weekend. Currey has 4 career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts, scoring a best finish of 10th at the ISM Raceway in November 2017.
Austin Cindric will be back behind the wheel of the No. 12 car for Team Penske after driving the No. 60 for Roush-Fenway Racing the last several races. Cindric is running the full schedule but will be splitting time between the two cars throughout the season.
Ryan Preece will return to the No. 18 for Joe Gibbs Racing for the second consecutive race after scoring a 9th place finish at the Auto Club Speedway.
Cup stars Ryan Blaney, Jamie McMurray, and Kevin Harvick will all be entered in this weekend’s race. All drivers will be making their second start of the season: Blaney in the No. 22 for Team Penske, McMurray in the No. 42 for Chip Ganassi Racing, and Harvick in the No. 98 for Biagi DenBeste Racing.
Chase Briscoe will drive the No. 60 this weekend for Roush-Fenway Racing, making his first start since the second race of the season at the Atlanta Motor Speedway where he scored a 15th place finish.
The first practice of the weekend takes place on Friday April 6 at 2:05 P.M. Et with coverage on FoxSports 1. The green flag waves at approximately 3:16 P.M. ET with coverage also on FoxSports 1.
