Former BK Racing Crew Chief Randy Cox will rejoin the BK Racing Team to oversee Corey LaJoie’s No. 83 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series effort. Previously, the former Crew Chief sat atop the pit pox for the No. 24 BK Racing team in 2014.
In a statement released by BK Racing, Randy Cox was quoted as saying, “I’m very happy to be back with BK Racing for 2017. I’ve known Corey and the LaJoie family for a long time. He’s a hardworking and hard-racing guy, and I’m eager to see what we can build together.”
Corey LaJoie said of the team’s decision, “Randy has been around the garage his entire life, and he’s a racer like me so we speak the same language. I’m glad that BK Racing is giving him the reins to this No. 83 team.”
Cox began his career in 2004 with Braun Racing and Jamie McMurray. He won in his first race with the team and in 2007 became a MENCS crew chief.
