2016 Frontstretch Cup: Staff Predictions for the Bad Boy Off Road 300

Welcome to our ninth year of staff predictions! Each week, our experts attempt to tell you who the winner of each Cup race will be. Take a look to see who your favorite writers think will win it all (or at least score some points) this week!

Think you can out-prognosticate our staff?  Leave your picks in the comments and see how they stack up!

How we roll:

Each driver can be picked only twice each week.  We can’t pick the same driver two weeks in a row.  And if anyone is daring enough to pick from a pool of higher-risk drivers…well, he or she reaps some serious bonus points!

This week’s predictions: Bad Boy Off Road 300

Amy Henderson, Senior Editor:  Give me Denny Hamlin.  He has to be sick of being in the shadow of his teammates.
Dan Greene, Webmaster: Martin Truex, Jr. Because I should have picked him last week.
Tony Lumbis, Financial Manager: Carl Edwards turns his pole into a win.
Jeff Wolfe, Senior Writer: Kyle Larson.
Mark Howell, Senior Writer:
Kyle Busch to hoist the ginormous lobster on Sunday, please. The lobster’s name will be “Championship Mojo.”
Clayton Caldwell, Contributor: Looking for a solid run after bad luck at Chicago, I’ll take Kevin Harvick, please.
Dustin Albino, Contributor: Brad Keselowski.
Mike Neff, Short Track Coordinator:
Give me Kurt Busch
Jeff Meyer, Retiree:
Carl Edwards.
Sean Fesko, Staff Writer: Matt Kenseth.
Vito Pugliese, Senior Writer: Joey Logano.
Zach Catanzareti, Staff Writer: I had a dream Regan Smith won, so Ill choose Paul Menard for the win.
Danny Peters, Senior Writer: I will take Hamlin too. The one that isn’t in the shadows.
Huston Ladner, Senior Editor: Can’t go with JJ because I did last week, going with, oh boy, Kasey Kahne.
Bryan Gable, Staff Writer:
Kyle Busch.
Corey Brewer, Contributor: Also Matt Kenseth.
Joseph Wolkin, Assistant Editor:

I’m going with that #19 car

Ken

Toyotas will finish 1-2-3-4-5. I’ll give this one to the 19. The first cars out of the race today will be the 2 and the 22. The 2 will exit after contact from the 20 (who will finish 2nd). The 22 will exit after contact from the 18 (who will finish 5th)

Johnson, if he doesn’t shoot himself in the foot.
