Frontstretch’s Truck Series content is presented by American Trucks

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will run its 14th race of the 2016 season with the Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway on Aug. 27.

As of Tuesday, Aug. 23, 31 trucks are entered for 32 positions, meaning no trucks will fail to qualify, barring any entry list changes.

One truck is listed as TBA: the No. 6 of Norm Benning Racing. Owner Norm Benning is currently listed in the No. 63, normally fielded by MB Motorsports.

Michigan will mark the return of Ryan Truex and the No. 81 for Hattori Racing Enterprises. After starting the season full-time, Truex has since run a part-time schedule, seven in all.

Additionally, Grant Enfinger is entered in a No. 24 for GMS Racing. Michigan will mark Enfinger’s fourth race of the 2016 season.

I must need to have my eyes checked. I looked at that list forward, backward, and sideways, then I checked out the entry list for the Xfinity race at Road America. I didn’t see “the greatest driver of all time” entered so he could pad his already grossly oversized ego.

The race will be worth watching after all. But then again, it’s only Tuesday evening, so, the list might have an addition by Saturday.
