Race Weekend Central

Entry List: Cheez-It 355 at the Glen

The Sprint Cup Series heads to a road course for the second and final time of the season this weekend at Watkins Glen International.

As of Tuesday, there are 40 cars entered, meaning all will make the race, barring any entry list updates.

Boris Said will make his first Sprint Cup start of the season on Sunday in the No. 32 Genesee Beer Ford. The road course specialist has made 15 Sprint Cup starts at Watkins Glen, including the last 11 races. His best result of third came in 2005.

Alex Kennedy will pilot the No. 55 Premium Motorsports car this weekend. This race will be his first Sprint Cup start of 2016. He has three career starts at the road course, with his best result of 28th coming last August.

The driver of the No. 88 Axalta Chevrolet this weekend has not been announced as of Tuesday. An announcement from Hendrick Motorsports is expected on Wednesday. Jeff Gordon has competed in the last two events in place of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who is experiencing concussion-like symptoms. If Gordon is tabbed to race again this weekend, it will be his 800th Sprint Cup start.

Action from Watkins Glen begins on Friday with opening practice at 12:30 p.m. and final practice at 3 p.m. (all times ET). Qualifying is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Coverage of the Cheez-It 355 will begin Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on the USA Network.
