Another lug nut penalty was issued this week following the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono.
Chad Johnston, who crew chiefs the No. 42 car of Kyle Larson, was hit with a P3 penalty for failing to have all lug nuts properly installed on the car following the race. He was suspended for the upcoming weekend at Michigan, placed on probation through Dec. 31 and fined $20,000.
Larson finished 11th in the race.
NASCAR also handed out six warnings to teams on Wednesday, highlighted by the No. 7 team of driver Regan Smith, which received its fourth warning for failing pre-race inspection and will subsequently lose pit stall selection this weekend.
The No. 1 of Jamie McMurray and the No. 83 team of Matt DiBenedetto also failed pre-race inspection and were warned.
Failing pre-qualifying tech were the No. 10 team of Danica Patrick, the No. 43 team of Aric Almirola and the No. 95 team of Ty Dillon.
Only one team? Looked like a lot more.
