For the sixth time in his XFINITY Series career, Erik Jones will start from pole after lapping Dover International Speedway at 22.915 seconds [157.102 mph].
“Dover has just been a place that’s been my style from the start,” Jones said. “We have a really good racecar; I think even a little bit better than what we had last year.”
With the third round of heat races on tap in Saturday’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200, Jones will lead heat No. 1 to green followed by the even-numbered starters.
Continuing a common trend in 2016, Joe Gibbs Racing completed the front-row starters as Daniel Suarez, who finished second in Friday’s Camping World Truck Series race, lines up first for heat race No. 2.
Completing the top 5 was another run of teammates, as JR Motorsports qualifies third, fourth and fifth with drivers Justin Allgaier, Elliott Sadler and Alex Bowman.
Rounding out the top 10 is Ty Dillon, Paul Menard, Matt Tifft, Brennan Poole and Ryan Sieg, who qualified top 10 for the second time in 2016.
Drew Herring, who makes his first XFINITY start since 2013, qualified 19th in his No. 24 Toyota.

Since the heat races had not even started at the time of your publication, it is remarkable that Zach already knows who the pole sitter will be for the main event today. But when did facts ever stop FS writers from posting whatever trash comes to mind? Are you lacking in journalistic ethics or just ignorant, Zach?
And, do you do anything other than bitch about the writers on this website? Why don’t you just leave then? And, don’t let the door smoke you in the ass on the way out.
DAYUM!!!! Spotty the hypocrite! You don’t rant against the writers, you bitch about me, and some others, posters on this website. Obsession, my obsession..sing it! Is there a song about hypocrites? Broken Arrow is a broken record but at least it talks about racing now and then, you seem to just to comment on posts that offend YOU. Why not go to a Kardashian website or twitter feed and troll those posters? Do you even watch racing?
