A&W and Front Row Motorsports to Recognize National Root-Beer Float Day

Brett Moffitt will pilot a special No. 34 Ford this weekend at the Pocono Raceway in the Windows 10 400. Moffitt’s car will recognize National Root Beer Float day on August 6.

A&W All American, which is a loyal partner to Front Row Motorsports, will give out free root-beer floats to customers from 2 p.m. until close on August 6. The promotion is used to encourage customers to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project. Customers can make donations online or at participating restaurants.

Moffitt is excited about promoting the cause on his car.

“This is a great way to get people to circle a date on the calendar and do something simple to help our injured veterans,” Moffitt said in a release. “Everybody loves a good old-fashioned root-beer float. And you can help some deserving people by going to get one for free at A&W and then paying it forward with a few dollars to Wounded Warrior Project.”

The Wounded Warrior Project helps 50,000 injured veterans and around 7,000 family members of the military. They offer around 20 programs and services to those families in need. In 2014, A&W raised around $200,000 on National Root-Beer Float Day.
